Oliver Millar - Editor
Director's Notes

Oliver Millar is what one would call a "dream come true" for a film director. I met Oliver (aged 19) at a film workshop in Ottawa in the summer of 2006. I had been struggling with my film for over two and a half years. Despite his hectic Carleton University schedule (where he was studying Industrial Design at the time), he agreed to help me. He watched the rough edits and understood my vision for the film. I gave him all my disorganized footage. He sifted through every second of footage that was almost all shot guerilla style. Oliver has a knack for finding beauty in the most disastrous of footage. He has helped me realize my vision for Threadbare. I think I have learned more from him during our many months of editing than he has from me. Oliver Millar is definitely headed for a hugely successful film career. I wish him all the best for film school at University of British Colombia. They are lucky to have him.
